Manifold Subassemblies

Manifold Subassemblies

We design and manufacture OEM fluidic systems for life science and medical instruments. We provide turnkey solutions by integrating our wide array of gas and fluid handling components into compact, fully integrated and tested subassemblies for analytical, diagnostic, biotechnology, and medical device manufacturers.

Benefits

Manifold subassemblies for life science and medical devices provide:

  • Smaller instrument footprint - Microfluidic subassemblies enable engineers to design shorter flow paths for lower reagent consumption and overall smaller equipment size by increasing component density. In addition, the resulting smaller footprint gives instrument builders greater overall design flexibility.
  • Ease of assembly & integration - A fluid control system can comprise several dozen valves, sensors, and other components. Each of these has to be mounted and connected. In contrast, a manifold subassembly with components already mounted, is ready to be plugged into a machine with just a few connections. This significantly reduces assembly time and labor costs while also reducing the possibility of connection errors.
  • Reliability - Manifold subassemblies limit the number of leak points by eliminating tubing and fittings within a system. This leads to a more robust system design and better instrument performance. Manifold subassemblies also allow for easier maintenance enabling responsive field support and lower instrument downtime.
  • Materials flexibility - Manifold bodies can be fabricated out of a wide variety of materials such as PEEK, Ultem, and PTFE to ensure chemical resistance, other plastics for lightweight design, laminated acrylics and glass components for optical clarity, and rugged metals where needed across an array of life science and medical device applications.
