DBA Sensors

DBA Sensors

Norgren's sensors come in a large variety of sizes and ranges to meet your material thickness measuring requirements. All sensors are abrasion and impact resistant, impervious to contamination from oils or coolants, and may be used with DBA or DBD controllers.

NEW! 36 mm Sensor

Norgren's newest DBA sensor, the 32mm sensor features a full steel faceplate, furnished with 15-pin straight-style connector, and has the fastest measurement time of any contact-style sensor.

  • Ferrous single blank thickness range: 0.3mm-3.5mm
  • Non-Ferrous single blank thickness range: 0.3mm - 4.0mm (when used as a Double Blank Analyzer)
  • Weight: 466g (1.0 lbs)

42 mm Sensor

Furnished with a full steel faceplate and 15-pin straight-style connector, the 42mm sensor has a slightly larger design that the 32mm, with a wider thickness measurement range.

  • Ferrous single blank thickness range: 0.3mm - 4.5mm
  • Non-Ferrous single blank thickness range: 0.3mm - 4.0mm (when used as a Double Blank Analyzer)
  • Weight: 541g (1.2 lbs)

54 mm Sensor

Available in Straight- or Right Angle-style connectors, the 54mm DBA Sensor increases ferrous single blank sensing abilities, and maintains non-ferrous sensing ranges.

  •  Ferrous single blank thickness range: 0.3mm - 5.7mm
  • Non-Ferrous single blank thickness range: 0.3mm - 4.0mm (when used as a Double Blank Analyzer)
  • Straight connector weight: 1114g (2.46lbs)
  • Right angle connector weight: 1260g (2.78lbs)

75 mm Sensor

Norgren's largest profile DBA sensor, the 75mm is available in straight or right angle connection types, and has the largest measurement thickness range of all our DBA sensors.

  • Ferrous single blank thickness range: 0.3mm - 8.0mm
  • Non-Ferrous single blank thickness range: 0.3mm - 4.0mm (when used as a double blank analyzer)
  • Straight Connector Weight: 2258g (4.98lbs)
  • Right Angle Weight: 2430g (5.36lbs)

DeviceNet 54mm Sensor

The DeviceNet DBA sensor requires no controller, has a solid steel face with threaded housing, and is abrasion, impact, and shock resistant.

Used with DeviceNet controller cards, this sensor can detect ferrous and non-ferrous materials, and is used for detecting double blanks, and hidden or missing parts.
