Diaphragm Valves

New Diaphragm Valves

Our new diaphragm valves are 2-way, normally closed, solenoid valves that deliver compact design, high flow rates and industry-leading protection against water hammer damage.

These valves are available as internally pilot operated or direct lift, with brass or stainless steel body material and a wide variety of seal materials to meet industrial and commercial application requirements.

They are compatible with air, water, liquids and many gases. Product testing demonstrates that the internally pilot operated valves create minimal pressure spikes when closing, protecting upstream components from damage caused by the water hammer effect.

Standard features:

  • Compact design
  • Wide pressure ranges
  • UL listed valves
  • Water hammer prevention
  • Damped operation
  • Fast response times
  • Class H coil construction

Applications

Air dryers

Controlling airflow through an air dryer creates stress and wear for a typical valve. The robust diaphragm assembly in these valves means they last longer, even in this challenging environment. They are also available with coils designed for hazardous locations making them suitable for explosive environments.

Cooling and chilling systems

Efficient, reliable cooling and chilling systems are critical to maintaining uptime in manufacturing. Low-maintenance components allow facilities managers to focus resources on production instead of repair. IMI Norgren on/off solenoid valves are top performers, limiting system wear and tear while maintaining closing times of less than 250ms.

Fluid control in processing plants

Whether fuel, process media, or product, chemical plants and other process applications need valves for fluid control. Our valves reduce the effect of water hammer, preventing pressure spikes in fluid lines. They also deliver reliable performance and are designed for a continuous duty cycle. Available in brass or 316 stainless steel, they are suitable for almost any media or environment.

Water supply control

Equipment using a water supply requires a valve at the inlet to shut off the system when not in use. These valves start and stop the flow of water reliably and consistently and with a fraction of the pressure spike of typical fluid control valves. Applications include car wash and industrial wash systems, food processing, paper mills, building water supply, conveying, greenhouse irrigation and drilling equipment to name just a few.
